We are delighted with our A Level results this year and are pleased to see the students’ dedication pay off with the majority going to continue their studies at University.
Our Head Boy Denis has achieved straight A’s in English Literature, Physics and Maths and he will be moving to Durham University in September to study Aeronautical Engineering.
Denis said of his results:
"I’ve shared the news with my family, and they’re very pleased for me. I am glad I stayed here for Sixth Form as the teachers were really good and I had a lot of friends here. I’ve been at the Academy since Year 7, and before that I attended Drapers’ Pyrgo for primary school, so it will feel strange not coming here every day."
Twins Conor and Ethan are both going to study the sciences at University. Conor achieved A*AA in Physics, Maths and Chemistry respectively and plans to study Chemistry. Ethan achieved straight B’s in Physics, Maths and Chemistry and is studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Leicester. He also achieved a B in his EPQ for which he built and coded his own drone.
Sienna has been at the Academy since Year 7 and achieved an A* in Psychology an A in Sociology and a B in English Literature. She will be reading Accounting and Finance at our partner University Queen Mary University of London.
Sienna said this morning:
"I’m extremely happy with my results as I got an A* in Psychology, an A in Sociology, and a B in English Literature. The English exam was particularly tough, so I’m especially pleased with that one. I can’t wait to share the news with my friends and family, who saw all the hard work I put in and will be glad to see it’s paid off."
Ignas has also been at the Academy his whole academic studies and is going to UCL to study Civil Engineering after achieving straight A’s in Physics, Maths and Product Design.
Aisha also achieved A*AB and is going to read Psychology at the University of Birmingham.
We wish all our students the very best in their future endeavours and look forward to seeing them progress.
Principal, Gillian Dineen said of the results:
"As Principal I am delighted that so many of our year 13 students will be successfully moving on to the next stage of their education. Their time at Drapers’ Academy has equipped them with a strong academic foundation to ensure they achieve highly, along with the values of kindness, respect and purposefulness to ensure they will continue to contribute positively to their community."
We have also seen many of our old alumni graduate recently and are delighted to see that Jess Benedetti graduated from Ravensbourne with a First Class Honors Degree in Product Design. Ideja Bajra has just received her BSc in Cell Biology from St Andrews University and is now following a career in AI.
