Home School Agreement

At Drapers’ Academy, we believe that partnership with Parents/Carers is an essential element in achieving our aims for our pupils.

This Home School Agreement sets out some of the important features of this partnership.

 

The school will:

  • Promote high quality teaching and learning.
  • Provide regular information for Parents/Carers about their child’s progress.
  • Draw Parent’s/Carer’s attention to any concerns about their child without undue delay.
  • Ensure that rewards and sanctions are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Endeavour to provide a safe environment and deal firmly with any discrimination or bullying.

 

Parents / Carers are expected to:

  • Support the school’s rules and the school Behaviour Policy.
  • Ensure that their child attends school regularly and punctually.
  • Ensure that no holidays are arranged to occur during term time.
  • Ensure that their child attends in full school uniform and is properly equipped for lessons.
  • Provide a quiet place for their child to study and ensure that homework is completed on time.
  • Look at their child’s marked homework and sign their child’s study diary weekly, taking note of any messages from Teachers.
  • Attend Parents’ Evenings.
  • Keep the school informed of any circumstances that may affect their child’s education.

 

Pupils are expected to:

  • Behave in accordance with the school’s rules and the school Behaviour Policy.  
  • Attend school regularly and punctually.
  • Work hard and complete homework on time.
  • Wear full school uniform and arrive at lessons properly equipped.
  • Contribute to the life of the school in a positive manner.
